Love Gone Wrong
Many of the books we read and movies we see at the theater or on television are stories of love gone wrong. The beautiful, wonderful and powerful thing we call love somehow turns into a weapon used by one character in the story to hurt another. In one story the weapon might be heard in a statement like this: “If you loved me, you would…” In a different story we might hear, “I don’t love you anymore. You’re not who I thought you were.”
When love, given or withdrawn, is based on some kind of performance, it can drive us to do terrible things.
Today, I want to encourage to think about how God loves you. Think about how God loves you, that His love for you is perfect and dependable and eternal.
Ask Him to help know His love more than you do now.
And then ask yourself, “Should I change how I am loving someone in my life?” “Should I love them more like God loves me?”
Finally, let’s ask the Lord together: Father, please help me today to love that someone in a way I never knew I could. Let that love represent your love. Let that love be healing and attractive that they would be drawn to you. In Jesus name, Amen.
Thank you. God bless you - on your journey today!
