Be or Become …Thankful

One of the most overlooked reasons for missing out on the fullness of God’s salvation is that we have not become thankful people.

I want to propose to you that there is a difference between being more thankful and becoming more thankful.

You’ve heard the message that you should be more thankful.  You agree with the message.  You live in America, after all!

But, somehow the message is hard to engage.  Sometimes the message seems like a scolding.  You should be more polite.  And, you should.  Being polite is a good thing.  But, something is missing.

The difference between being and becoming is this.  Being more thankful is outward and temporary.  Becoming a thankful person is internal and increasingly permanent.

The goal is that your nature, your character changes.  The end result is that becoming thankful changes you in ways that are observable by the people around you.

What might change around you if you were to become a thankful person?

Thank you.  God bless you - on your journey today!
