Who Do You Talk To?
One day some time ago I called a friend I was just getting to know to see if I could spend a little bit of time talking to him about life in general. My real purpose was to spend some time with him complaining about my life. Not big complaints, mind you, just some basic whining about why God wasn’t giving me more direction and how some of my co-workers were hard to work with.
Who do you talk to when things aren’t going your way? What do you talk to them about?
Are your friends supportive? Do they help through difficult times? Or, do they sometimes make things worse by helping you complain and making the problem or circumstance harder?
Do you talk with God much about your life? What kind of questions are you asking Him?
Do you feel comfortable enough with the Lord to tell Him everything? Have you told Him the good, the bad, and the ugly?
What are you saying way down deep inside? What is going on way down there, in your heart?
Let me encourage you today. You can tell the Lord anything. He can handle it all.
It’s not a mystery to Him, you know. He knows what is in your heart and He loves you anyway. Thankfully, He loves me, too.
Thank you. God bless you - on your journey today!
